Brussels, Belgium

This trip to Belgium was one of the most unexpected trip I have ever made in my life. I have a Belgian friend and a Slovakian that went to high school with me in the States. And now we are all in Europe. Such a small planet! We decide to meet up in Belgium. So I booked my bus tickets. My Slovakian friend booked his plane tickets. That weekend we were all in Brussels after 3 years apart! One thing I love about Europe is that you can travel between countries like traveling between States in America. ImageImageI spent 3 days in Brussels. First thing I learned about Belgium is that Belgian people are always so nice, open and friendly. Second thing I learned was that Belgium has the best walffles in the world!

ImageAlso I heard their mussels dish is really good too. But unfortunately, the only season for mussels is summer. So I didn’t get to try any. If you get a chance to come here during the summer, aren’t you lucky?

And here is the famous Belgium’s Manneken Pis.

I also tried several famous Belgium beers.

  1. What a great trip! I love the pictures of Belgium and the beautiful food. My brother lives in Gent, Belgium and I visited him a few months ago. It’s a lovely country and I’m so glad you’ve had a chance to experience a small part of it. Enjoy your adventures and thanks for keeping us in the loop!

  2. What a fantastic trip Ahn! I’ve never been to Belgium, so I have to put that on my list of places to visit. I hope you enjoy your last two weeks in Paris! It’s amazing how quickly the time went by. It will be nice to have you back on campus!!!

    • Thank you! Actually I’m not ready to leave Paris just yet. I will try to enjoy the rest of my time here. I will be back on campus this August!
